Hello!
Your arrival at our place is coming up soon. Here’s a few things that you might find useful to know about the cottage and the area.
Since we are up north in the country there is a lot of wildlife! So it’s a good idea to make sure you don’t leave the doors open for an extended period of time. Please don’t leave any garbage outside the house on the grounds as it will attract the wildlife. There are garbage and recycle bins near the garage.
If you would like to have a fire in the wood stove, you can pick up fire wood, kindling and fire starter locally at the Gas Station (see video) on the way or the Bonichoix which is around the corner from the cottage. Please be sure to close the glass door on the wood stove when you retire for the night.
As indicated in our listing, our place is not suitable for parties or events. Our neighbour is quite close and we don’t want to disturb their peace as I’m sure you already know sound carries on the lake.
The WiFi ID is Belmar and the Password is qazwsxedc
You may want to download the Sonos app to play music at the cottage.
If you have any problems connecting to the WiFi, there is a small closet in the Master Bedroom on the second floor. It is to the left of the bed and night table. All the routers are inside. There is a large power bar, everything is connected to the power bar. All you have to do is turn off the power bar, wait 15 seconds and turn it back on. Still having trouble? Call or text me, I will get in touch with the Internet Service Provider.
The cottage offers Bell Satellite TV on all three TV’s. There are two Smart TV’s, one in the living room and one in the loft. On those two TV’s you can watch any subscriptions you may have with Netflix and similar products. Please log in with your own account and be sure to logout when you leave.
There are two security cameras located inside the cottage, one is on the TV in the main floor living room, the other is on the island. We turn them off remotely, but please unplug them when you arrive and plug them back in when you leave.
Key to the front door:
The key to the front door is inside the little out building between the wood shed and the garage. On the inside handle there is a lock box, the code is 8516. The front door key is inside. Please be sure to return the key to the lock box and scramble the code. You’ll see in the video exactly which little out building.
Please feel free to text anytime during your stay to ask questions or if you have any concerns whatsoever. It is our pleasure to answer and help out in any way we can. We want you to have a great stay at Chalet Belmar!
In an extreme emergency you should always call 911.
Arriving at the cottage:
Check in is at 3pm, we recommend driving up during daylight hours, because it may be a little difficult to find the entrance of the cottage from the highway at night.
Remember there is a lot of wild life up there and we want you to stay safe. There is a parking space close to the entrance of the cottage off to the left, we prefer that you park there and not drive or park on the walkway to the cottage entrance.
Apple Maps Pin to Belmar Cottage
If you don’t have an iPhone and are using google maps, use the address to the restaurant instead, most maps can find this address: Au Moulin Du Temps
519 QC-323, Namur, QC J0V 1N0 From here you’ll be about a minute and a half to the entrance of the cottage, count two guard rails and turn in to the left, just before the third guard rail. You’ll see a big Yellow Sign and a post with three addresses in Green at the entrance.
We also shot a video to help you find the entrance to the cottage from the road. The video starts on Highway 50 West, the exit we take is 210 for Montebello and Mont Tremblant. It is very important to watch this video before you leave.
